Meredith Howell
Fashion and Textile Management, Fashion Development and Product Management ’23
Celebrity Fashion Designer
CEO of No Days Off Studio
About
Howell started as a fashion and textile design major which is where she learned how to sew and pattern. Then, during her junior year, she switched her major to fashion and textile management with a concentration in fashion development and product management to dive deeper into learning how to manage a fashion business and work within the supply chain. In summer 2020, Howell made her first pair of shorts from a handmade tapestry sourced in Durham. She posted them on social media and instantly received offers of hundreds of dollars! This took her by surprise, since she was just posting them for fun, with no intention of selling them. In the summer of 2021, Howell received the attention of celebrities such as basketball player, Zion Williamson, and rapper, Tia Corine, who purchased custom pieces from her. In October 2021, she began selling a line of puffer coats and t-shirts that sell out nearly instantly at every restock. She now sells her artistic designs on her brand “No Days Off Studio” website.
